SmartGolf AIX app update: now on Google Play and the App Store
Thank you for waiting. This is our biggest app update in months, and it is now live on both stores. Android is available on the Google Play Store, and iPhone and iPad on the App Store.
We rebuilt how courses are made, how the swing is drawn on screen, and how every window looks. Here is what changed.
1. We rebuilt how real golf courses become 3D.
We changed the method itself. On the same course, the slope of the ground and the shape of the green now read much closer to the real thing.
On the green, the slope is shown in color. You can read where the ball will run before you stroke it.
2. AI swing analysis: one line tells you what to fix.
Finish a swing and a line of coaching appears on screen. You do not have to read the numbers and work it out yourself. It tells you what is wrong right now and what to change: “The club head is closed at impact, so try making the head square.”
The figure beside it is your own swing. AI reads the body’s skeleton first and fits the club to it, so what you watch is closer to what you actually did.
Along the bottom you get distance, speed, tempo, smash factor, path angle, face angle, angle gap and trajectory. The one line is those numbers read for you, narrowed to the single thing worth fixing.
Every swing is saved. Open Load Swing Data, pick one from the list, and play it back at your own pace with the slider. You can watch today’s swing against one from an hour ago and see what actually moved.
3. Premium courses are here.
Premium courses now appear in the course list, marked with a PREMIUM badge.
Premium courses are for Premium subscribers only. While you subscribe, you receive 10 credits every month. One credit opens a premium course for a month, with unlimited play during that time. Credits are good for one month from the day you receive them, and anything left over does not carry into the next month. Virtual courses stay free.
4. AI re-measured the yardage on 3D courses.
We used AI to re-fit the yardage of our 3D courses. The distance remaining on your screen now sits closer to the real course.
5. Every window now follows one style.
The windows inside the app had drifted apart. We redrew all of them to one rule. Whichever screen you open, the buttons sit in the same place and the type is the same size.
6. Sturdier ranking servers for Korea, the U.S. and Japan.
We strengthened the servers behind the distance and accuracy rankings. Finding an opponent in Online Match and posting your record now breaks less often.
